Hear classic 4AD tracks covered by Tune-Yards, Bing & Ruth, Helado Negro
Earlier this month, 4AD announced it was releasing a 40th anniversary compilation of songs from its back catalog being covered by artists on its current roster. Bills & Aches & Blues, which is being released on April 2 digitally and June 23 on physical formats, features artists ranging from The Breeders to Big Thief, and last week, 4AD released the first side of the 2xLP compilation on streaming services.
Today, the second side of the compilation has been released, which includes Tune-Yards covering The Breeders’ “Cannonball,” Spencer. covering Grimes’ “Genesis,” Helado Negro taking on Deerhunter’s “Futurism,” Efterklang delivering a take on Piano Magic’s “Postal,” and Bing & Ruth tackling Pixies’ “Gigantic.”
