Abortion funds benefit shows

Ground Control Touring and Noise for Now, a nonprofit focused on reproductive rights, have announced a series of shows in 2023 to benefit abortion funds. The shows will take place on January 28 at three venues in three cities—Lodge Room in Los Angeles, Schubas in Chicago and Bowery Ballroom New York—with proceeds to benefit local abortion funds and providers in each city.

The Los Angeles show will feature Automatic, Dummy, Hunx and His Punx, Mary Lattimore, Ah-Mer-Ah-Su, Charlie Hickey, Riki, Fashion Club, Maral, Tatiana Hazel, Warm Club, a solo set from Current Joys and a DJ set from Barry Johnson of Joyce Manor.

The New York show will include performances by Horsegirl, Downtown Boys, Ian Sweet, Katy Kirby, Weeping Icon, Anysia Kim, Duendita, Hannah Jagadu, Discovery Zone, Liz Cooper, Mary Jane Dunphe, a stripped down set from Wet and DJ sets from Beach Fossils and Yumi Zouma.

And the Chicago show will feature sets from Akenya, Bnny, Finom, V.V. Lightbody, Godly the Ruler, Grelley Duvall and a DJ set from Post Animal, with more to be announced soon.
