Iceage release first new song in five years, “Star”

Iceage have returned with their first new music in five years. Following the release of the band’s 2021 album Seek Shelter, the group released the rarities compilation Shake the Feeling, and frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt released a handful of solo records. Now they’re back with an actual new song, rather than unreleased music from the archives, in the form of new single “Star.”

It’s described in a press release as “a total love song. Its subject awakens its singer and everything around them. It whips the scaffold sheeting: it breathes life. Rønnenfelt still writes from a place of grit, but here, it is animated.”

It arrives in the form of a video directed by Thinh T. Petrus Nguyen. Check it out below.
