Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit announce new album, Weathervanes

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have announced a new album. On June 9 they’ll release Weathervanes via Southeastern Records. The first single is “Death Wish,” which you can hear below. Also check out the album’s artwork and tracklist, and a whole bunch of tour dates.

“There is something about boundaries on this record,” Isbell said in a press release. “As you mature, you still attempt to keep the ability to love somebody fully and completely while you’re growing into an adult and learning how to love yourself.”

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit’s last album was 2020’s Reunions. Their 2017 song “If We Were Vampires” is featured on our list, A History of Alt-Country in 45 Essential Tracks.
