M. Ward announces new album, Supernatural Thing
M. Ward has announced a new album. On June 23, he’ll release Supernatural Thing via Anti-. It features appearances from Neko Case, Jim James, First Aid Kit and more. Today he’s shared the title track, which was inspired by a dream he had in which Elvis came to him with the message: You Can Go Anywhere You Please. “Well, all my songs depend on dream-imagery to some extent,” Ward said in a statement, “and this was an actual dream I had about Elvis, when he came to me and said that. I don’t know if it’s pandemic-related or not.”
