Mdou Moctar shares new song, “Takoba (Injustice Version)”

Mdou Moctar recently announced the release of Tears of Injustice, the acoustic version of this year’s Funeral for Justice, which is due out Feb. 28 via Matador. Today, Moctar has shared “Takoba (Injustice Version)”, which you can hear below. Where the original version achieves a soaring climax with layered guitar leads, this version is more stripped down and intimate, with more emphasis on percussion and call-and-response vocals.
