Hear a new song from Mercury Rev, “Ancient Love”

Last month, Mercury Rev announced their new album, Born Horses, their first new set of original music in nine years, which is out September 6 via Bella Union. And today, the group has shared another new song from the album, “Ancient Love,” a six-minute song that’s described in a press release as “an enchanting celestial opus.” Hear it below.

The group said in a statement, “What we are today comes from our thoughts and perceptions of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life for tomorrow. Our life is the creation of our mind which originates from ancient love.”
