I Will Swim to You: the songs of Jason Molina

Run fo r Cover has announced a new tribute to the late Jason Molina, the singer/songwriter behind Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co. Titled I Will Swim to You: The Songs of Jason Molina, the compilation features covers of Molina’s songs by the likes of MJ Lenderman, Horse Jumper of Love, Sun June, Runnner, Advance Base, Hand Habits, Lutalo and more. It’s out September 5. Hear MJ Lenderman’s cover of “Just Be Simple” and Sun June’s “Leave The City” below.

The album features cover art from Will Schaff, who illustrated the cover of Songs: Ohia’s Magnolia Electric Co. album. Also, 10% of the profits from each record will be donated to MusiCares®, a nonprofit that helped Molina when he was struggling with addiction.
