Stream the new The Pains of Being Pure at Heart album
Next week — May 13 — the indie rock favorites with the mouthful of a name, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, will release Days of Abandon, their third album and follow-up to 2011’s Belong via Yebo Music. The album features some new players, as well as a bit of a different sound this time around. There’s more of an ’80s and early ’90s British Pop influence, rather than one that leans heavily on Siamese Dream (not that we minded that at all). We’ve already heard “Simple and Sure,” with its human GIF video clip. And now the band has made Days of Abandon available to stream in full via an extra long lyric video.
