Real Estate – “Crime”

The video for “Crime,” off Real Estate’s new album Atlas, is pretty silly. It premiered this morning via Funny Or Die, so that should tell you something about the content of the clip. Directed by Tom Scharpling, the “Crime” video finds Scharpling admitting that he’s broke and that in order to make a little scratch, he’s selling creative rights to his new video. The video ends up a mixture of “undead extreme sports enthusiasts,” product placement for a ceramics business, Real Estate performing in a Thai restaurant, and an appearance by the “Westboro Baptist Church.” It’s a hoot!
