Screaming Females break up

Screaming Females have broken up. The group made the announcement in a social media statement, which said, “After 18 years we have decided that Screaming Females is coming to an end.”
They continued, “A lot changed around us over those 18 years but at our core we operated pretty much the same throughout. We funded and made the records we wanted to make. We did our own art…”
Screaming Females performed and recorded together for 18 years, forming in Brunswick, New Jersey in 2005 and releasing eight albums together. Their most recent was this year’s Desire Pathway.
“Brass Bell,” from the group’s latest album, is featured on our list of the 100 Best Songs of 2023.
