Watch Sons of Kemet’s new “Pick Up Your Burning Cross” video
Last week, London jazz group Sons of Kemet released their outstanding new album Black the Future (which we recently named Album of the Week!) via Impulse! Records. And today the band has shared another new video from the album. Their new single, “Pick Up Your Burning Cross,” features guest appearances from Moor Mother and Angel Bat Dawid, and its accompanying video depicts visual themes of “reconnecting with ancestral energies by confronting our fears and insecurities,” as saxophonist and bandleader Shabaka Hutchings says in a press release. Watch the new clip, directed by Ashleigh Jadee, below.
