Stream the new alexalone album, ALEXALONEWORLD

Today is the release date for ALEXALONEWORLD, the debut album by alexalone, which is being released via Polyvinyl. It’s the project of Austin-based artist Alex Peterson, who is a touring member of Lomelda and Hovvdy, and the album carries an interesting balance of dreamy, hypnotic indie rock and more intense, sludgy doom metal sounds. In fact, we liked it enough to name it our Album of the Week. We said, “the eight songs here are built around a thick sonic atmosphere that seamlessly merges doom with dream pop, suggesting that the distance between the two is closer than it appears.” And now that the album is out in the world, you can finally hear the full thing for yourself.
