The National have shared another new song from their upcoming album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, out April 28 via 4AD. Today they’ve shared “New Order T-Shirt,” which is a slow burner that transitions from a quiet acoustic ballad to a fuller arrangement. Check it out below.

“To me the line ‘I keep what I can of you’ means something about everyone I’ve ever known or loved,” Aaron Dessner said in a press release. “There’s a simplicity to ‘New Order T-Shirt’ that reminds me of our earlier records, but with the full maturity and experience we have now. It feels like a really important song for the future of our band.”

The National’s last album, I Am Easy to Find, was on our list of the 50 Best Albums of 2019.
