Watch Nine Inch Nails perform with original members in Cleveland
On Saturday, September 24, Nine Inch Nails performed at Blossom Music Center in Trent Reznor’s hometown of Cleveland, with support from two other industrial music legends, Nitzer Ebb and Ministry. The previous day, the group held a Nine Inch Nails Fan Day, and that night former members of the group Chris Vrenna, Richard Patrick, Danny Lohner, and Charlie Clouser participated in a Q&A hosted by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On Saturday night, they joined Reznor for a seven-song reunion of Nine Inch Nails’ early lineup, which saw them perform songs from Pretty Hate Machine, Broken and The Downward Spiral, as well as Filter’s “Hey Man Nice Shot,” featuring Patrick on vocals. Watch some fan-shot clips from the performance below.
Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, during which Reznor acknowledged his former bandmates’ contributions.
Nine Inch Nails, Ministry and Nitzer Ebb are all featured on our list, A History of Industrial Music in 45 Songs. Pretty Hate Machine is on our list of the 150 Best Albums of the 1980s.
