Majical Cloudz break up

Majical Cloudz are breaking up. Following the release of last year’s Are You Alone?, the band released a statement on Tumblr about their decision to bring the project to a close. “Over the last few months Matt and I decided that Are You Alone? would be the last Majical Cloudz record, and that after doing some touring we would be moving on to other projects and adventures,” Devon Welsh writes in the statement, the entirety of which can be read here.

Before they’re done for good, Majical Cloudz will play one last show in their hometown of Montreal on March 10 at La Sala Rossa. “There will be no opening act, we’re just going to play a long set!”, Welsh says.

Both members of the band will continue to make music in different capacities. Devon Welsh will be releasing music under his own name, while Matt Otto will make music as The Dahlia.
