New Releases: 10/7
Do you have any idea how amazing a day for music it is today? We want to make sure we don’t diminish the magnitude of the releases hitting shelves today, so we’ll give you a little transparency just to open up some trust between us — the website you trust to be honest with you — and you, the reader. We had three rock-solid candidates for Album of the Week this week. One we moved up to last week: Caribou’s Our Love. One is this week’s Album of the Week: Iceage’s Plowing Into the Field of Love. And one was just so slightly edged out: Flying Lotus’ You’re Dead. And that’s not even getting into the other great records out this week, including new ones by Zola Jesus and Peaking Lights. It’s an embarrassment of riches. Here’s a full list of albums out this week in your local brick-and-mortar shop.
