The Decemberists announce North American tour dates
Last month, The Decemberists announced via a busking performance from Colin Meloy — and eventually a standard press release — the upcoming release of their new album, What a Beautiful World, What a Terrible World. After the album’s Jan. 20 release, the band is planning on hitting the road for a North American tour in support of the album — their first in three years. They’ll be joined by The Minus 5 in Portland, and Alvvays (whose new self-titled album is an underrated gem) on all other North American dates.
The Decemberists are also planning the release of a Record Store Day Black Friday seven-inch featuring their new song “Make You Better,” with B-side “Fits and Starts.”
