Failure announce new album, PledgeMusic campaign
Los Angeles trio Failure reunited last year and toured for the first time since 1997, and now, they’re working on their fourth album, and first new music since 1996’s Fantastic Planet. The new album is a work in progress, and as they’re working on it, the band is giving fans a chance to watch the progress via a PledgeMusic campaign. Today they posted an in-studio update video, along with a pre-order for the as-of-yet untitled new album, which includes basic pre-orders of the album in digital, CD and vinyl formats, along with some higher-priced but cool items like autographed LPs, t-shirts, guitar pedals, a vocal mic, backstage passes and credits in the album’s liner notes.
Singer Ken Andrews said in a statement, “Obviously we are not the first band to do this sort of thing, but I do think our fans are uniquely qualified to make this a very satisfying experience for all who participate.”
The album doesn’t have a release date just yet, but the band will most likely add that information to the PledgeMusic page as it becomes available. Watch their new behind-the-scenes video below.
