Stream: New Blur track, “There Are Too Many of Us”
On April 28, Blur will release their eighth album, The Magic Whip. It’s their first set of new music in 12 years, and we’ve already gotten a taste of the album in the form of “Go Out,” which accompanied the announcement of the album. But while that one sounded a little more like something between the Britpop of Parklife and the scruffier sounds of their self-titled album, their new track, “There Are Too Many of Us,” is a bit more lush and laden with strings, like the material from their last album, 2003’s Think Tank. So it looks like there’s going to be a fair bit of range on this new album. The band is also playing the album in its entirety at a secret show in West London tonight.
