Tame Impala reveal new track, “Disciples”
Last night, Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker participated in the time-honored Reddit tradition of Ask Me Anything, and dived into some stories about breaking boats, hot tubbin’ with Mac DeMarco, and why he thinks music will eventually become totally free. (He also shared some thoughts on Kanye West, because that’s what people do these days: “Second guessing and hesitation and doubt are such inhibitors for artists, especially these days. I can’t help but think that Kanye has found the antidote”). But when Parker was asked about what he wanted to be asked about, he said “I’m waiting for someone to ask me if they can hear a new song…!”
And so it was done. And after sharing earlier singles “Cause I’m a Man” and “Let It Happen,” Tame Impala shared new track “Disciples.” Listen to the Tame Impala “Disciples” stream below.
Tame Impala’s Currents, their follow-up to 2012’s Lonerism, is out later this year via Interscope.
