Dam-Funk announces new album, Invite the Light
Los Angeles synth-funk master Dam-Funk has just announced his long-awaited follow-up to 2010’s Toeachizown. Not that he hasn’t been busy; he covered Donny and Joe Emerson with Ariel Pink on 2012’s Only in Dreams, recorded 7 Days of Funk with Snoop Dogg, and released his 2010 compilation Adolescent Funk—not in that order. This year, he returns with Invite the Light, which features an impressive array of collaborators, including the aforementioned Snoop Dogg and Ariel Pink, in addition to Q-Tip, Nite Jewel, Junie Morrison of The Ohio Players and many others. Today, Dam-Funk released a new track from the album, “We Continue,” which you can stream below.
