Listen to new Arca track, “Soichiro”
Earlier this year, innovative producer Arca announced that he had plans to release a new album titled Mutant. There’s no release date just yet, but it’s expected to drop later this fall. In the meantime, as details continue to trickle slowly from Arca’s tap, he’s released a new track from the album, titled “Soichiro,” via The Quietus. Soichiro is the name of Arca collaborator Jesse Kanda, as he explained in a Tweet. You can listen to the new track below.
Mutant will be Arca’s follow-up to last year’s Xen. Arca made the announcement about the album’s release on Twitter earlier this year, stating “I CANNOT w8 to share with u all !!” In addition to his own recordings, Arca has done production work on FKA Twigs’ LP1, Kanye West’s Yeezus and Bjork’s Vulnicura.
Arca’s Xen is on our list of the Top 50 albums of 2014.
