President Obama reveals his favorite song of 2015
President Barack Obama just revealed what his favorite song of the year is. In a new interview with People, President Obama said that his favorite track from 2015 is Kendrick Lamar’s “How Much a Dollar Cost?”, from his outstanding album this year, To Pimp a Butterfly. So, not only does he pick a song from one of the most stellar albums released in 2015, but he goes for the deep cut. So, yeah, he’s earned his cred this year.
President Obama’s been pretty outspoken about being a fan of hip-hop, particularly Jay Z. He also released a Summer playlist earlier this year that featured The Temptations, Beyonce and Okkervil River. As for First Lady Michelle Obama’s favorite song of the year? “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. Between the two of them, I bet the White House year-end party is bound to have some jams playing.
