On August 5, Wild Beasts will release their new album Boy King via Domino. It was recorded with producer John Congleton, and features some songs that came out of writing collaborations with UK electronic duo Disclosure, so it’s safe to expect something that’s a little heavier on beats and synths this time around. The band also described it as an “apocalyptic record,” so don’t expect it to be all party all the time. However, the group was already heading in that direction on 2014’s Present Tense, which featured a kind of darker synth-rock sound. The group has already released a few tracks from the album, including “Get My Bang,” “Big Cat” and “Celestial Creatures.” Before the album is released officially, however, the band is streaming it in full via Apple Music.
