Swans announce final tour dates
Swans have just announced their last tour dates in the current incarnation of the band. In an newsletter statement, frontman Michael Gira says, “what’s next? Musically, I have no clear idea, and don’t really want one at this juncture. I seem to have the sound of a sustained chord in my mind – not the striking of the chord, but what hangs in the air after as it dissipates, and what surrounds it, and I look forward to filling that out, traveling there.” He also notes that he’ll be working on keeping the Swans catalog in print, as evident in recent reissues of 1991’s White Light from the Mouth of Infinity, 1992’s Love of Life and 1995’s The Great Annihilator. Take a look at their upcoming tour dates below.
Swans’ most recent album is The Glowing Man.
