Nas announces concert film of his performance of Illmatic
Nas has announced the upcoming release of a concert film, Live from the Kennedy Center. The film features his performance of his classic 1994 album Illmatic, and was produced by Mass Appeal. It will also feature behind the scenes footage, as well as commentary from Nas about the album. The film is being aired on February 2 via PBS, as part of its “Great Performances” series, and afterward will be available to stream via PBS’s website.
The Kennedy Center Illmatic concert took place in 2014 as part of the 20th anniversary of Illmatic. The performance also featured the National Symphony Orchestra.
