Angel Olsen announces new album, Big Time
Angel Olsen has announced a new album. On June 3, she’ll release Big Time via Jagjaguwar. The first single is “All The Good Times.” Check out its video below.
A press release states that the album was written as she was coming out as queer, and the songs are in large part a response and statement about confronting her own feelings of trauma and loss. “Some experiences just make you feel as though you’re five years old, no matter how wise or adult you think you are,” Olsen says in a statement. “Finally, at the ripe age of 34, I was free to be me.”
Big Time follows Olsen’s two companion albums, 2019’s All Mirrors and 2020’s Whole New Mess.
