Bandsintown announces new subscription streaming service, Bandsintown PLUS

Pitchfork points out that Bandsintown is launching a new service called Bandsintown PLUS that is a subscription-based platform for live-streamed musical performances. The service will cost $9.99 per month and give subscribers access to “25 live shows a month.” The lineup for January and February includes a lot of high-profile acts, including Phoebe Bridgers, Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes, Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief, Flying Lotus, Lomelda, Little Dragon, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Local Natives, Toro y Moi, Chromeo, Empress Of, Soccer Mommy, Waxahatchee, Tycho, Rodrigo y Gabriela and more. A press release states that the new service “democratizes and revolutionizes the live music experience, directly supporting artists in the process.”
