Damon Albarn, Jamie xx to perform at Brian Eno-curated Together for Palestine concert

Brian Eno has organized a concert, Together for Palestine, taking place at OVO Arena Wembley in Wembley, UK, on Sept. 17, with proceeds supporting Palestinian-led organizations providing relief in Gaza. Today the initial lineup for the concert has been announced, which includes Eno himself, Damon Albarn, Jamie xx, PinkPantheress, Hot Chip, King Krule, Sampha, James Blake, Bastille, Obongjayar, Bastille, Cat Burns, Greentea Peng, Mabel, Paloma Faith, and Rachel Chinouriri as well as Palestinian artists such as Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman and Nai Barghouti. More artists are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
“What we are witnessing in Gaza isn’t a mystery, and neither is it a blur of competing narratives making it ‘hard to understand’,” reads a statement posted by Eno on Instagram. “When dozens of non-partisan organisations like Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders describe it as genocide, the moral line is clear. We can’t remain silent. Which is why I’m helping to organise Together for Palestine – a night of music, reflection and hope at Wembley Arena.”
