Elvis Costello announces New York residency, “100 Songs and More”
Elvis Costello has announced a 10-show New York City residency, which he’s calling “100 Songs and More.” Costello has revealed the details of the upcoming series of shows, which will be held at the Gramercy Theatre in New York, from February 9 to February 22, wherein he promises “Each night will tell a different tale.”
The first half of the residency will be solo performances from Costello, while on the second half he’ll be joined by his longtime Attractions and Imposters keyboardist Steve Nieve on piano. Each night will have a completely different setlist, and in total he plans to perform more than 200 songs from his vast catalog. He’s already revealed the first 10 songs planned for each of the 10 shows, which include highlights from classic albums such as My Aim Is True, This Year’s Model, Trust, Imperial Bedroom, Get Happy!! and Armed Forces.
