Everything But the Girl are making their return this year on April 21 with Fuse. They’ve already released one single, the Essential Track “Nothing Left to Lose.” And now they’ve shared the second single from the album, “Caution to the Wind.” Hear it below.
Tracey Thorn said in a press release, “Lyrically, ‘Caution To The Wind’ is a simple song about arrival and seizing the moment, so with the music we tried to capture the feeling of a perpetual point in time.”
Ben Watt added, “I let the words quickly collapse and loop inside the production,” continues Ben. “The drums emerge and repeat, and everything then starts to unfold in cycles of anticipation and release. I guess it’s just classic nightclub tension and euphoria.”
Everything But the Girl’s Walking Wounded is featured on our list of the Top 50 Electronic Albums of the ’90s.
