Hear “Bordello,” the debut single from Alto Arc (members of Deafheaven, Hundred Waters)
Alto Arc is a new band featuring Deafheaven‘s George Clarke, Hundred Waters‘ Danny Harle and Trayer Tryon, and makeup artist Ismaya Ffrench. The band will release their debut EP on February 11, via Sargent House. And today, they’ve shared their debut single, titled “Bordello.” The video for the hypnotic new synth-pop track is directed by Elizaveta Porodina and features tarot cards, snakes, sweat and blood in ample measure. Check it out below.
Porodina says of the video, “I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this video. Telling this story felt like opening an old book and uncovering a sinister fairy tale. An eerie vibrating presence fell over the rooms we built up, and it felt like oscillating from one dark world to another. It’s a privilege to witness such rare and magical moments.”
Clarke adds, “Working with Elizaveta to see her vision through was wonderful and I couldn’t be happier with how beautifully this song was interpreted and captured.”
Deafheaven’s latest album is Infinite Granite.
