Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner and Crying’s Ryan Galloway announce new EP as Bumper
Japanese Breakfast‘s Michelle Zauner and Crying’s Ryan Galloway have announced a new project called Bumper. The project began after the start of quarantine, and the two musicians live only blocks apart but made their debut EP without actually seeing each other, instead layering tracks on top of each other and sending them back and forth over email in an act of creative social distancing. Their first completed effort, pop songs 2020, is officially being released tomorrow, September 4. However, the entirety of the EP is available to stream right now via the animated visualizer below.
Japanese Breakfast’s last album was 2017’s Soft Sounds from Another Planet.
