Killer Mike announces first new solo album in a decade, MICHAEL
Killer Mike has announced his first solo album in over a decade. On June 16, he’ll release MICHAEL, which is his first solo album since 2012’s R.A.P. Music. He’s shared a new song along with the announcement, “DON’T LET THE DEVIL,” which features his Run the Jewels partner El-P and thankugoodsir, with production by El-P, No I.D. and Little Shalamar. Hear it below and take a look at the single’s artwork as well.
“My favorite group (US) with my favorite producers! It’s our 10 year anniversary and MICHAEL is an origin story so I wanted to start w/ El,” Mike said in a statement.
He added: “RTJ is the X-Men, this is my Logan.”
Run the Jewels’ last album was 2020’s RTJ4. Their song, “Oh My Darling Don’t Cry,” is featured on our list of 20 Essential Adult Swim Singles.
