Kowloon Walled City share new single “Oxygen Tent”
Bay Area noise rock outfit Kowloon Walled City have shared a new song, their second new track of 2021 (following a 10-year-old track released as a split with Shallow, North Dakota and KEN Mode), titled “Oxygen Tent.” The band has been relatively quiet over the last few years, with Jonathan Howell and Ian Miller playing in baseball-themed grindcore band Puig Destroyer, as well as Less Art, whose debut album Strangled Light was one of 2017’s heavy hidden gems. “Oxygen Tent” is a slow, spacious but abrasive set of brooding guitars and churning anguish. It’s the kind of brutal bummer that Kowloon Walled City is known for delivering, and it sounds as great as we remember it. Hear “Oxygen Tent” below.
Kowloon Walled City’s last album was 2015’s Grievances.
