Lifeguard announce new 11-song 7-inch, “Ultra Violence”/”Appetite”

Earlier this year, Lifeguard released Ripped and Torn, which we named one of the best albums of 2025 so far. And with our year-end lists just around the corner, it just might make another appearance! But that’s not the last we’ve heard of the Chicago group this year. They’ve just announced a new maxi-single, “Ultra Violence”/”Appetite”, which fits 11 songs into 13 minutes(!). They’ve shared the A-side, “Ultra Violence,” which you can hear below, and the 7-inch release will be out January 13 via Matador.
