Listen: New Mastodon – “Chimes at Midnight”
Mastodon have released another new song from Once More ‘Round the Sun, their sixth album and follow-up to 2011’s The Hunter. We’ve already heard “High Road,” and today, the band has revealed new track “Chimes At Midnight,” via a nifty animated visualizer video. (Slightly better than a lyric video, maybe?) Between these two songs, it seems that the group is continuing down their path of alt-metal and prog-rock fusion, which sounds just fine to these ears. In any case, if you need your morning fix of hook-laden hard rock and metal, then this is exactly the track for you.
