Back in 2021, the Rock Docs team, Andy Keatts and David Lizerbram, had a discussion about the Tina Turner documentary, TINA, which was then newly released via HBO Max (now MAX). With the sad news of the legendary artist’s death yesterday, Rock Docs presents an encore performance of the episode, updated with a new intro about the loss of this giant of popular music.

Keatts and Lizerbram discuss TINA, directed by Daniel Lindsay & T. J. Martin, which takes a look at Turner’s life and career, her troubled childhood, her traumatic relationship with bandmate and abusive spouse Ike Turner, as well as her massive comeback in the ’80s with Private Dancer.
