Savages to release new EP in 2014
Savages left a pretty indelible mark on critics and listeners in 2013 with their amazing debut album, Silence Yourself. And we were definitely included in that — the album was number 10 on our Top 50 Albums of 2013. And it looks like the UK post-punk group has some more new music on the way this year.
In an interview with Australia’s Triple J Radio, singer Jehnny Beth says that Savages will release a new EP this year, which will feature a cover of Suicide’s “Dream Baby Dream” (also recently covered by Bruce Springsteen) as well as a studio version of “Fuckers,” which they’ve been playing live of late. She also said it will be out on vinyl, so you know, we can keep this #treblerecorddaze train rolling all year.
