On June 21, Sumac will release new album The Healer via Thrill Jockey. And ahead of the release of their new album, the group have shared a new, 15-minute documentary, Six Hours 42 Minutes with SUMAC. The film is directed by Damien Neva and was filmed at a recent Boston performance by the band, capturing both the group’s intense live performances as well as behind-the-scenes moments. Watch the new short film below.

The Healer follows 2020’s May You Be Held as well as the group’s 2022 collaboration with Keiji Haino, Into this juvenile apocalypse.
