Thundercat announces new album, Distracted

Thundercat has announced his first new full-length album in six years. On April 3, he’ll release Distracted via Brainfeeder. The first single is “I Did This to Myself,” featuring Lil Yachty. Hear it below.

The album also features appearances from A$AP Rocky, Willow, Channel Tres, Tame Impala, and the late Mac Miller.

In a bio, Thundercat shared a statement about his intentions with the album: “Just enjoy it and have fun and just know that the struggle is real and changes shape, but just to keep pushing forward.”

Thundercat’s last album was 2020’s It Is What It Is. Thundercat is featured on our list, 20 Essential Artists from the 21st Century Jazz Renaissance.
