Touché Amoré tease new music
Touché Amoré seem to be teasing some new music. Today, the Los Angeles post-hardcore band shared a brief clip of music in a video on Twitter, with the caption, “Let’s embrace the twilight.” The music is more atmospheric than the band’s typical intense assault of aggression and emotion, and even includes some touches of pedal steel, which sound spectacular. This is promising! Check it out below.
The band recently compiled a playlist on Spotify of songs that inspired their upcoming fifth LP, which includes Leonard Cohen, Deftones, Mission of Burma, and Emmylou Harris.
Touche Amore’s last album was 2016’s Stage Four. Last year, Jeremy Bolm’s other band, Hesitation Wounds, released the brief and blistering Chicanery.
Update: The band have shared another teaser on social media with the title “Lament,” which is possibly the title of the new album, along with the message, “Wednesday 9am PST.” Plus certain fans have been receiving unannounced flexi discs of new music in the mail, as one fan shared.
Touche Amore’s Stage Four is featured on our list of the Top 50 Albums of 2016.
