William Basinski announces new collaborative album with Janek Schaefer, …on reflection

William Basinski has announced a new collaborative album with Janek Schaefer. On April 29, the two artists will release …on reflection via Temporary Residence. The collaborative release comprises recordings that the duo worked on between 2014 and 2022, and is described in a press release as “an expression of minimalism and close focus.” They’ve shared one track from the album thus far, “…on reflection (one)”, which you can hear below. William Basinski’s last album was 2020’s Lamentations.
