Listen to new Death Grips track, “Inanimate Sensation”
Death Grips broke up earlier this year, but the Sacramento noise/hip-hop group is still planning to release one last album, the powers that b. The first half of that double-album, niggas on the moon (which featured Björk’s voice on every track), was released in 2014, and now, we’ve got the first taste of the second half, Jenny Death. The first track to be released from Jenny Death is “Inanimate Sensation,” and it arrives in the form of a new video. The whole thing is shown through the screen of a basketball court Jumbotron, which looks like it feel from the ceiling and crashed through the floor. Welcome to the strange and destructive world of Death Grips.
There’s no release date just yet for Jenny Death, and no tracklist has been made official, though the group said it was done in October, well after announcing that they were no longer a band.
Listen to and watch “Inanimate Sensation” below.
