Run the Jewels share a new Meow the Jewels track, “Meowrly”
El-P and Killer Mike have been teasing Meow the Jewels, their cat-themed Run the Jewels 2 remix album, for most of the year. In recent weeks, El-P has been teasing Meow the Jewels with some short snippets of tracks from the album. But this weekend, on their Beats1 Radio show “WRTJ,” the duo unveiled a brand new track titled “Meowrly,” which is the cat remix of “Early,” from Run the Jewels 2. The track features Boots, who also produced the remix.
The Fader has shared “Meowrly,” and it lives up to the hype. The hype that accompanies cat-centric remix tracks of hardcore hip-hop albums, of course. Listen to the track below.
Meow the Jewels is due for release later this year, and the fans that paid $55,001 to bring it to life should be pleased to see the progress of the album coming along.
