Joanna Newsom announces new album, Divers
Joanna Newsom is releasing a new album this fall. It’s called Divers, and it’s out Oct. 23 via Drag City. Newsom has shared her first video for the album, for new track “Sapokanikan,” which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (who also directed Inherent Vice, in which Newsom starred). You can watch that video below.
Divers features arrangements by Newsom, Nico Muhly, Dirty Projectors frontman Dave Longstreth and Ryan Francesconi, and was recorded by Steve Albini and Noah Georgeson.
Divers follows 2010’s Have One On Me.
