Grimes announces new album, Art Angels
After nearly four years, it looks like we’re finally getting a new Grimes album. It’s called Art Angels, and that’s the album’s artwork, as Grimes revealed on her Instagram. There’s no release date announced as of yet, but in the post she says “music & video next week.” In an August interview with Entertainment Weekly, Grimes said the album is “the first record that I’ve made that I can listen to with other people around and not cringe and feel horrified.” She also apparently attempted rapping in a fictional Game of Thrones language, but decided to scrap it.
Grimes has released a handful of tracks in the last two years, including “Go,” a song that she originally wrote for Rihanna, and “REALiTi,” which was released earlier this year.
Art Angels follows 2012’s Visions.
