Blur announce first live show in eight years
Blur have announced their first live show in eight years. The legendary Britpop group will perform at Wembley Stadium on July 8, 2023, featuring support from slowthai, Jockstrap and Self Esteem. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Friday. Watch a trailer for the performance below.
“We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again,” Damon Albarn said in a statement.
Guitarist Graham Coxon adds, “I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs… Blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces…”
Blur’s last album was 2015’s The Magic Whip. Trainspotting, featuring music from both Blur and Damon Albarn, was featured on our list of 10 Essential ’90s Movie Soundtracks.
