Caribou has released another new video. Following the release of “Honey,” which we named an Essential Track, Dan Snaith reveals “Broke My Heart.” Watch the new animated clip below, directed by Richard Kenworthy of Shynola, and take a look at Caribou’s upcoming tour dates.

Snaith said in a statement, “I always find it hard to believe those ‘it came to me in a dream’ stories about songs arriving fully formed… but this one was pretty close to that, which is not how it usually goes for me. I sat down at a piano one day and the string riff was just there at my fingertips and the vocal melody followed right behind it. I wish they all happened like that.”

Caribou’s Up In Flames (released when he was known as Manitoba) is on our list of the 50 Best Albums of 2003.
